Development Committee: Matt Fairfield, chair
Builds relationships with possible financial backers. Generates ideas for, and implements fundraising activities. Coordinates tabling at various events, membership coordinator, and volunteer oversight.
Medical Committee: Paula Mercer, RN-C , Norman Jentner Ph.D. Assembles and disseminates medically-related information to the medical community and meets with medical groups to build relationships with them. Answers patient and caregiver questions related to the medical use of marijuana.
Legal Committee: Joe Jacobs, Esq. Provides input to the OPN board about the legal issues surrounding medical cannabis and refers OPN members in need of legal counsel to the proper resources.
Communications Committee: - Mary Jane Borden
Collects articles and publishes the OPN monthly newsletter, "OPNews". Manages website and mailing lists.
Public Relations Committee: -not currently active-
Prepares presentation materials for the media and other OPN endeavors. Coordinates media coverage of OPN and OPN members.
Speakers Bureau: Eleanor Ahrens, chair Locates and manages speaking engagements for participants in OPN's Speakers Bureau, OPNSpeak.
Strategic Planning Committee: Brandy Zink, LMT
Analyzes current trends in medical cannabis, conducts studies of OPN and its members, and devises future courses of action to be recommended to the OPN board for implementation.
