The doctor is saying to the patient "Good news. I've diagnosed an illness that requires medical marijuana."

Cartoons are historically a reflection of contemporary public opinion on issues. This cartoon appears in the May 2006 issue of Playboy magazine, traditionally a defender of mmj. Note the "hippie" connotation. If this is what Hef et al. think of medical marijuana, then we're not as far ahead in public opinion as we may have thought. Is this what most Americans think of when they hear "medical marijuana"? Comments can be sent to Playboy Magazine online at http://playboy.com/magazine/letters/index.html |
