Organize! Ohio Statewide Gathering - Neighborhoods Coming Together For Change
10:00 am-4:00 pm. Free with lunch included.
2007-A time of opportunity...The 2006 elections again made Ohio a two party state government. After many years of fighting unsuccessfully to avoid cuts in already inadequately funded health and human service programs, and having our voices ignored as we fought for equitable school funding, adequate support for those on public assistance and a multitude of other quality of life issues, we now have real opportunity to have our voices heard and action taken about those issues that are important to us.
2007- A time for action…In 2006 Organize! Ohio participants met and agreed upon critical issue priorities affecting our neighborhoods. With 2007 being a year when Ohio’s biennium budget will be passed, and our need for action both on the budget and other critical issues, we will meet, review and join together to determine direction and strategy across communities so that we can effectively collaborate for change. In the morning State Senator Ray Miller from Columbus will be joining us to discuss budget priorities strategy.
