Chronic Cannabis Use in the Compassionate Investigational New
Drug Program. This groundbreaking study completed in early 2002
investigated the therapeutic benefits and adverse effects of prolonged
use of "medical marijuana” among four of the remaining seven
patients to participate in the Compassionate IND program, all of whom
still receive cannabis regularly from the federal government.
