The wide spectrum of concerns and issues represented at this conference will be an impressive demonstration of cooperation and unity among the multiple facets of drug law reform.

Representatives of the Ohio Patient Network (OPN) will be attending this conference to listen and to speak on medical marijuana.

Since the conference falls on the date of our online monthly Ohio Patient Forum, We will attempt to initiate the forum from the DPA conference.  We try to bring to you some of the leaders in the field that are attending the conference.  We can not predict exactly who we will have online, at the time of this writing, but we attempt to bring a few special guest to the forum who have medical marijuana focus.  Do not be surprised if some other facets of the war on drugs comes out in our discussions.

Cheryl Miller Project

Who: In memory of Cheryl Miller, MS patient and medical marijuana activist who died on June 7, 2003.

When: September 22-23, 2003.

Contact:  John Precup  jprecup@OhioPatient.net

On Monday and Tuesday, September 22 and 23, 2003, Cheryl Miller's family and friends will join with medical marijuana supporters to memorialize her life and contributions to the medical marijuana movement. Though she was paralyzed by decades of multiple sclerosis, Cheryl and her husband and caregiver Jim waged a long and courageous battle so patients like Cheryl would not have to suffer when a safe medicine, marijuana, could be easily available were it not for politics keeping it illegal and out of the hands of those who could benefit.

OPN President and MS patient, John Precup, and his caregiver will participate in this memorial and day of lobbying in Cheryl's memory. This event, in part, will focus on Multiple Sclerosis patients and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, which, thus far, has refused to recognize the therapeutic benefits of cannabis.

If you would like to join or support the OPN contingent that will be traveling to Washington, DC, please contact John Precup at jprecup@ohiopatient.net. Donations to help send patients to Washington, DC, for this memorial can be made at https://banqa.uaqa.com/norml/cheryl_miller.html.
